Black and white

Well, do you?

Picture a world which is a pleasure center. It offers anything you might want :  shopping, skiing, beaches, mountains, lakes, adventure, leisure–and gambling.

Picture a woman coming here with her husband, hoping they can put their marriage back together. Only to find his addiction for gambling has just landed her in a most dangerous situation.

Picture a tall, handsome, dangerous man in his late thirties. He has money, power, and rules most of the underworld syndicate on this world. Now he has something else he wants–the woman of his dreams.

The world is Gambler’s Folly.

The woman is Karianna, who’s husband lost her in a bid to wipe out his gambling debt to–

The underworld ruler, Damiano Leone, who’s word can save a man’s life, or sign his death warrant. Who’s dark side holds a secret most couldn’t even imagine.

CommercialHave you written a book, but you need help promoting it? Do you have a story to tell to the world?

Let me introduce you to Bavarlee Bernstein and his Facebook series, Let Me Tell Your Story. Each Saturday evening, Bavarlee introduces a new book on his program by reading an excerpt from the first chapter.

So far, I’ve found the books to be interesting, and there are several I want to read. My new novel, Gambler’s Folly, was featured in episode 12 of his program. I am also a nominee for the BBFBP awards in the Most Artistic category, as are several other extremely talented people.

If you’re looking for a new author to read, or if you have something to share, check out Bavarlee Bernstein’s Let Me Tell Your Story.

You won’t be sorry!

In the meantime, look up Gambler’s Folly, my new Paranormal Fantasy Romance–with shape-shifters.

CommercialHello everyone! Are you ready for the weekend?

Gambler’s Folly was released earlier this week–July 16–and so far it is doing well. I’ve been working on my next novel, Viviane: First Lady so I can get it submitted.

In the meantime, I’d like to tell you about a Facebook series by Bavarlee Bernstein–Let Me Tell Your Story.

Each Saturday night, Bavarlee introduces new authors reading excerpts from the first chapters of their books.  Gambler’s Folly was featured on one of his programs! Tonight he will be featuring Courtney Phoenix White’s new novel, Anybody’s Somebody.

Just go to Facebook and send a friend request to Bavarlee Bernstein. He will send you a reminder each week so you can tune in for the latest Let Me Tell Your Story.

I will be submitting Viviane: First Lady for him to review.

CommercialWith Gambler’s Folly published, I’m working on Viviane: First Lady. Second draft is done, so I’m working with our daughter, Dawn,  to polish it up before sending it off.

I know they say never to ask friends and family, but Dawn is a godsend when it comes to editing. She says what she means and has some great input for changes.

So check back soon. I hope to send Viviane: First Lady to the publisher by the end of August.

In the meantime, go over to http://www.bookstrand.com/gamblers-folly and check out Gambler’s Folly. It’s still at a 10% discount through July 23.

I’ve had some questions about Jareth and the Talents. What are the Talents and where do they come from? If you read the prologue, you read that Esperance was discovered by remote-viewing, the ability to view distant places psychically. This is one of the Talents the First Lords develop as descendants of the Seekers.

But what are the Talents? They can include nearly anything. A master musician who can sway an audience with his performance can be a Talent. An energy healer is a Talent. Anyone who seems to more connected to his or her craft than is normal could be a Talent.

Some of the Talents are empaths, who can tune into someone else’s emotions. Some are telepaths, who either read the thoughts of others, can send thoughts to others, or who can do both.

Usually, Wild Talents have only one enhanced ability. The First Lords on the other hand, since they are the closest descendants of the Seekers, have abilities in many areas which have been exercised and trained since childhood. This is what gives them the insight and strength to rule their clans.

But for more information on the Talents, watch for the debut of the second book in the series, Viviane: First Lady. This book begins with Jareth and Viviane’s marriage and continues through discovering and training her Talents.

Hope this helps those of you who are confused.

If you’ve not read Jareth: First Lord, it is available at:

Mellie
