Well, now is the time!

My alter ego, Sultonna Nadine, has a new book, Whiskey Jug Genie, ready for pre-order. Right now it’s in ebook format, but will soon be available in print as well.

So, what is this book?

Imagine an old whiskey jug, dark brown, and salt glazed from somewhere in the late 19th or early 20th century. Now imagine a young apothecary owner touring the American Southeast, who collects old jugs and bottles to decorate his shop. And he falls in love with this jug.

What he doesn’t know is that it holds one of the djinn–a genie–inside. Trapped inside. By a curse some 200 years ago. A genie who has been out of touch with the world for around 200 years.

Now imagine the shop owner and the jug in a London apartment, as he unstops the jug and releases a redneck genie into the modern world. A genie who insists his name is Bubba, and who can’t get too far away from his jug because of the curse.

While Martin may have a bit of magical and psychic ability, he knows nothing about curses. And Bubba knows nothing about electricity, automobiles, television, or telephones. To him, the whole world is run on some weird form of magic.

Join these two as they try to sort out this curse, while Bubba learns about the world of the 21st century. And as Martin tries to kindle more of a romance with a lovely lady who doesn’t know anything about magic or the djinn.

Where can you pre-order?

Whiskey Jug Genie is available at Books2Read! with links to all the retailers listing it.

So come on in and join the fun as these three try to unravel the problems brought about by a redneck genie in London!

And as always,

And I wish the weather would decide what season we’re going to be in. A week ago, it seemed like late autumn was here. And then two days ago, summer came back.

But in the meantime, what is everyone reading?

As most of you know, I usually write paranormal romance novels. But sometimes I branch out, and this is one of those times. My alter ego, Sultonna Nadine has a new short story out you might want to check out. Set in Wyoming, one of my favorite places, we meet DEA agent Shane Shadowstalker.

But out there in the high desert, among the sage, can you believe what your eyes are telling you? Or is it all an illusion brought about by the wind, the moonlight, and the shadows?

Go on over and give it a quick read.

Moonlight and Shadows–a paranormal short story.

And remember,

Here it is, Friday the 13th! Are you a superstitious type person? Or do you love things which are a bit paranormal?

I’m not particularly superstitious myself. I’ve always thought black cats were some of the coolest cats around. At the moment, we have two black kittens who are about 6 months old. And they are into everything!

But bad luck?

Not so much. Just very curious. They seem to find all the cobwebs behind the furniture and come out fully decorated with webbing and completely unconcerned. The dog isn’t quite sure what to do with them.

But since it is the season for all things a bit spooky, head on over to my page on Vocal.Media. I have a couple stories over there with bit of the paranormal.

The first is Child of the Universe. She didn’t believe in ghosts. But in that case, who was she talking to? And more importantly, who was talking back?

The second is Moonlight and Shadows. Can you believe what your eyes tell you? Or are the shadows out there in the wilderness of the high desert playing tricks on you?

For something more psychological in nature, check out The Box. There was a place in her mind, a place which scared her a little and which she kept hidden. But sometimes, she wondered if she could take just a little peek inside…

Have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend.

And as always,

Don’t Forget…

Am I the only one who can’t believe this year is disappearing so rapidly? Where has it gone?

But autumn has always been my favorite time of the year, so I can’t really complain. It just seems the year has flown by at a breakneck speed

What plans do you have for this autumn? When I was growing up, it was always a busy time. We had a large garden, so we were trying to get everything in and preserved before winter hit. And then there were the wild grapes to pick, not to mention the crab apples…

Have you ever had pickled crab apples? If not, you have missed a wonderful treat. I haven’t seen any around here, more’s the pity. We had a couple trees all the way at the back of one of our big fields. Right at the edge of the woods, the old trees gave us plenty of the sour little apples to pickle for later in the year. They were perfect by the time Thanksgiving rolled around.

Around here, the apples are just coming in and everyone is getting ready for the hayrides and corn mazes. Me and mazes don’t get along. I mean seriously, I can get lost in my own woods. I have no sense of direction whatsoever. Are you more like me or my husband, who spent most of his life always knowing where north was.

I’m about to finish the edit on Whiskey Jug Genie, so watch for it later this fall. Who doesn’t love a story about a genie? Come join me for this crazy, magical tale!

Watch here for release dates of Whiskey Jug Genie and Ben of Blackstone’s Forge!

And as always,

Don’t forget…

Or then again, maybe not. This is Georgia we’re talking about.

Let me explain. About a week ago, I built a fire in the living room to take off the chill. A few days before that, it had been up near 80F outside, so I had no firewood in. We all thought we were finished with the heat for the year. Just in case, I brought a little more wood up.

And then it turned warm. All right, not warm. HOT!

Three days ago we had two days of 80 degree weather again. Ir had rained, so outdoors was like a sauna. I turned on the AC not so much to cool down the house as to draw the humidity out of the air. Same thing the next day.

Yesterday the high was 63 with drizzle all day. Today may reach 70. I don’t know yet. But the humidity is once again terrible.

In the meantime, I’ve been doing some writing and some reading.

If you like murder mysteries, check out the Widow’s Island novellas. (I’ve been binge reading.)

On the home front, I’ve been writing an article about Gambler’s Folly and working on Tiger’s Tempest. My editor is working on Ben of Blackstone’s Forge.

Tiger’s Tempest?

Think Tiger shifters meeting on Gambler’s Folly. She’s a forensic photographer. He is president of the security division for his families pharmaceutical corporation and working with Interpol on counterfeit drugs. They hadn’t intended to get married when he offered to play tour guide for her skiing and photography trip to Crystal Mountains. It just sort of…well, happened.

And Ben of Blackstone’s Forge?

Ben’s family has a way with iron, which makes their trade as blacksmiths considerably easier. He’d always thought he and Deborah would marry, but when he left the village to finish his apprenticeship, something happened. Now she will scarcely speak to them. Both his father and hers are rather strongly suggesting they each need to find a partner, but the only woman he wants as his wife is Deborah. And because of what happened while Ben was away, Deborah has decided she will never marry. Until their fathers get together and come up with a solution.

Wish me luck. With this crazy weather and the hectic schedule I’ve had lately, I’ll need all the help I can get.

In the meantime, catch up on the Gambler’s Folly and the Esperance series. Both are available at Amazon and Smashwords, as well as most other online retailers.

Have a great weekend!

And as always,

Don’t Forget
