At least it feels like it outside. When that cold front came through, our temperatures over night dropped down into the mid-twenties here near Atlanta, GA, which is much too early for this kind of thing here in the South.

But with the holidays coming up soon, don’e forget, books make great gifts! And if you want to get into the holiday spirit, check out my alter ego, Sultonna Nadine’s blog. Two of her books have solstice or Christmas scenes. One is even a costume Ball!

You can find her over at SultonnaNadine.

For books from my series--for yourself or as gifts– check out my pages on Amazon. You can also find me on Goodreads or All Author

Gambler’s Folly is great if you like shifters, fantasy worlds, and a bit of magic.

Or check out Esperance for paranormal abilities, magic, and a hint of folklore here and there.

If you don’t want to go over to Sultonna’s site, you can find here on Amazon, too!

Enjoy this interlude before the holday chaos arrives. Have fun, keep warm, and stay safe.

Autumn has always been my favorite season. The bright colors in the trees, the scent in the air, the crunch of leaves beneath my feet, and of course, the cooler temperatures.

What do you love about autumn?

And what scent would you choose to evoke the feel of it?

When I write, I sometimes light a candle with a scent in some way bringing the mood of what I’m writing. In the case of Ben of Blackstone’s Forge--which I hop;e to have out this year–I had two candles from Mythologie Candles. One was Dwarven Forge and the other was simply called The Blacksmith.

For Morgan–The Pixie and the Green Man, Verdant Forest seems right. James, after all, has a link with the forest.

If you’re interested in candles, but are tired of all the old scents, try Mythologie Candles. They have really unique scents I love. And I can usually find one to help me get in the mood to write.

Don’t forget OLD FLAME is on sale at Amazon for only $1.25! And with the temperatures cooling down, bring a little spice into your life with Old Flame!

Have a wonderful week.

From small country girl on Earth to elegant and in the spotlight on Gambler’s Folly is quite a leap. Come follow Karianna’s story in Gambler’s Folly!

DANTE’S ANGEL–Book 2

Dante worked with Damiano Leone and was going to Earth for the first time for Dam and Karianna’s wedding. He admitted to a little jealousy over his friends good fortune. Dante just couldn’t seem to talk to women and had never had a long term relationship. But on Earth, Fate had a little surprise for him. Come share the chaos as wedding plans get underway in Italy.

The Russian–Book 3

He’d lost his soul mate 200 years ago. Dmitri didn’t want another relationship. Losing one you love is too painful and he’d done it so many times. There are days when it is great to be a writer.

And then there are those other days…

I do my online posts every day, and every day someone tells me they’ve read my book, they love my book, or they’ve bought my book. And since I released it through Draft2Digital, and they have links to all the various retailers who carry it, I can go to their site and look up my sales records.

What I don’t understand is their records show no sales of my new book Old Flame, even though I’m getting loads of comments and statements that people have read it.

So what am I to think? Are people lying just to make me feel good? Are the folks at Draft2Digital behind on posting sales?

I love writing and I know quite a few people who wait impatiently for me to release something new. And I don’t intend to give up writing. But a little bit of support would be fantastic.

So if you know someone who would love a cross-genre paranormal/fantasy romance, set on a fantasy vacation destination filled with luxury accommodations, and shifters of every sort, send them my way.

Currently, I have two series. My latest release, Old Flame, is from the Gambler’s Folly series. Gambler’s Folly, where every love story is a gamble and Fate always deals the final hand.

Do you like second chance romances? Friends to lovers? Bear shifters?

Give Old Flame a read and tell me what you think.

Enough complaining. Have a wonderful week and happy reading.

Good afternoon and happy Friday to everyone out there today! I missed last week due to surgery, but seem to be recovering well enough, even if I am about to go crazy with sitting around.

I had hoped to do some editing while I recovered, but sitting up at the desk wasn’t working well, and neither was the lap top.

But I’m about to begin again on Old Flame. I figure if I can make it through a chapter a day it shouldn’t take long. Of course what it shouldn’t and what it will may be different. You know how that goes, I’m sure.

So if this isn’t too long, or I miss another week, don’t despair. I’ll be back when I’m fully functional again. In the meantime, catch up on the Gambler’s Folly series while you wait for Old Flame. This time we have bear shifters!

Ciao for now everyone!

Yes, summer is beginning to think about winding down for the year. While the evenings have been a little cooler, the days are still hot and humid, thanks to the sporadic rain showers. Of course, the 2 1/2 inches of rain we got a couple nights ago really boosted that humidity. We’re getting ready for my husband’s shoulder surgery later this week, so we’ve had appointments with surgeons, the hospital, you name it, which is why I’ve been absent recently.

So, what have I been up to lately?

Editing. Not my most favorite thing, but it has to be done. At least if I take some time wit it, my editor won’t have a heart attack.

I’ve been through Gregor Thayne, another book from Esperance. This was the first read through and while it had some issues, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be. Now, I’ll ;ut it aside for a while before coming back to it. Kind of let my mind take a break.

Next up is my final edit of Lady Calloway, from Sultonna Nadine. I’m still trying to decide on the final title for the book. I’m several edits into this book, so now it’s just finding all the loose ends and spelling errors I missed the first few times. What usually happens is I rewrite something and delete the old version. But once in a while, at 2 am, I don’t get all of something deleted, which leaves it sounding rather strange.

In the meantime, Ben of Blackstone’s Forge is coming along. It will be the fifth book from Esperance, featuring the son of a blacksmith with a unique family Talent. He has iron under his control. His love life on the other hand needs some help.

Have a wonderful week. Stay cool. And pick up something to read this evening.

And as always,,

It’s the middle of August and here in Georgia school has started. And the start of school means new supplies, new clothes, new shoes, school fees… You know the drill. And around here, the schools publish a list of all the supplies your child will need to start school, which really adds up.

So here what I’m going to do!

For the next few weeks, I’m going to feature one book in each series over at Smashwords and offer if for–

FREE!

Yes, you read it correctly. This week, beginning this afternoon, Jareth, First Lord and Gambler’s Folly will each be FREE, as my gift to you.

Jareth, First Lord is the first book in the Esperance series, on a world where paranormal abilities abound, especially among the ruling class.

Gambler’s Folly features a high tech, futuristic world with shifters!

Now, what do I ask in return?

Please review the book on your favorite site. You can write a review at Smashwords or at Goodreads! And please, share the book with your friends.

Other than that, nothing at all. It costs you nothing, but it will mean a great deal to me.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Here it is August already and summer is in full swing down here in the Southeast. We haven’t had any rain in a few days and the temperatures are rising. But where has the summer gone?

I don’t know about where you live, but around here, school starts in August. In some areas, it starts as early as August 5. So everywhere in town is slammed with people trying to get their school shopping done. It is a crazy world out there.

But, with school starting, why don’t you sit back with a cold drink and a good book? With the kids in school, now’s the time to catch up on your reading.

Check out my books on Amazon for paranormal fantasy romance. Or check out Sultonna Nadine–my pen name for stand alones–for a bit more magic!

Esperance — a more frontier-like world where paranormal abilities abound.

Gambler’s Folly–a vacation planet with hunky shifters as Interpol agents, fighting crime and finding soulmates.

Master of the Fleet–an alternate universe of the Pacific Northwest, where magic is all around, but doesn’t seem to help Richard’s love life.

There you have it–a total of eight books to choose from.

So what are you waiting for?

Grab yourself a cold drink, find a comfy spot, sit back and take a virtual vacation to a mystical world.

I know. It has been a while. But about three weeks ago I had to go ahead and have surgery on my foot. The arthritis in it was pulling my toes down to where I was walking on the tips of my toes instead of the pads. So I’m hobbling around and taking twice as long to do anything. And I think it takes twice the energy as well.

My usual desk chair is one of the kneeling chairs. But since I’m still all bandaged, I can’t put any weight on my toes or bend them at all, so I’m using this other one. And it puts me at an odd angle, with the desk too high to touch type conveniently. So with my foot propped up under the desk, and my hands about six inches too high to be comfortable, I’ve put off any writing until I can do it with a little more ease.

Not to worry! I’ve been doing another read through of the next book in the Gambler’s Folly series. I can at least read while sitting on the couch.

Of course, the puppy thinks what I really need is a dog on my foot…

The Book Sale is still on over at Smashwords, so go on over and get the next book in whichever series you’re reading. Or start the other one!

Wishing you a wonderful week and I’l try to get back into the swing here in another week.

And remember,

Don’t Forget…
