They say not to judge a book by its cover, but I need you to do just that. If you liked the cover of my book, Old Flame (Gambler’s Folly Book 4), please vote for it for the Cover of the Month contest on AllAuthor.com!
I’m getting closer to clinch the “Cover of the Month” contest on AllAuthor! I need your support.
Please take a short moment to vote for my book cover.
If you do, you’re in luck! I’ve recently chosen to put Old Flame up on Kindle Unlimited. I have so many friends who are enrolled, who have asked if my books were available there, that I thought I’d give it a shot.
If you are a voracious reader, you might do well to check it out. I can sit and read a cozy mystery in an evening. Thrillers take a little longer, especially if they are particularly convoluted and involved–like one of my favorite authors, D. D. Black.
Several of my author friends have their books available on KU as well and seem to have good luck.
So if you use Kindle Unlimited, or if you just like eBooks, go on over to Amazon and check out OLD FLAME. While you’re there, pick up copies of the other books in the series, such as The Russian.
Old Flame–a second chance, Friends To Lovers, paranormal fantasy romance, set on an exotic resort world.
The Russian–Great age difference, Fated Mates, paranormal fantasy romance, once again on Gambler’s Folly, exotic vacation spot of the galaxy. Gambler’s Folly, where every love story is a gamble, and Fate always deals the final hand.

Gambler’s Folly, where every love story is a gamble and Fate always deals the final hand.
Join me on Gambler’s Folly for this mainstream sensual, second chance, friends-to-lovers, paranormal fantasy romance.
I do my online posts every day, and every day someone tells me they’ve read my book, they love my book, or they’ve bought my book. And since I released it through Draft2Digital, and they have links to all the various retailers who carry it, I can go to their site and look up my sales records.
What I don’t understand is their records show no sales of my new book Old Flame, even though I’m getting loads of comments and statements that people have read it.
So what am I to think? Are people lying just to make me feel good? Are the folks at Draft2Digital behind on posting sales?
I love writing and I know quite a few people who wait impatiently for me to release something new. And I don’t intend to give up writing. But a little bit of support would be fantastic.
So if you know someone who would love a cross-genre paranormal/fantasy romance, set on a fantasy vacation destination filled with luxury accommodations, and shifters of every sort, send them my way.
Currently, I have two series. My latest release, Old Flame, is from the Gambler’s Folly series. Gambler’s Folly, where every love story is a gamble and Fate always deals the final hand.
Do you like second chance romances? Friends to lovers? Bear shifters?
I know, some people are very superstitious about today. But for our daughter, it has always been a great day. Anyone else have the same experience?
And it’s Father’s Day weekend as well! Wishing all of you guys out there a wonderful celebration.
As you know, Old Flame is now out there in the world. So far, all the comments I’ve heard have been positive, which is exciting. The down side is that I’m not seeing a lot in the way of sales yet.
This series–Gambler’s Folly— is a cross-genre paranormal/fantasy romance in a unique universe. The whole concept revolves around a vacation destination world and the capital city, Speranza. In book 1, we meet the owner of a high end, luxurious hotel casino chain–the Stella d’Oro– where high stake games of various sorts are played.
Remember, on Gambler’s Folly, every love story is a gamble, and Fate always plays the final hand.
What would you gamble for love?
The tone is sensual, and high heat in this paranormal romance series. Most couples are mature, featuring soulmates, fated mates, and a bit of off-world politics. There is strong emotional and physical chemistry between the couples, resulting in a forever bond.
In Old Flame, we have bear shifters. It is a friends-to-lovers story, with a bit of second chance in the mix. Our heroine is a widow going off for a month long vacation to our favorite world. After a surprise reunion with an old college friend–who is also traveling to Gambler’s Folly– sparks begin to become embers as they travel to their destination.
If your a fan of The Psy-Changeling Series, by Nalini Singh, Immortals After Dark, by Kresley Cole, or Dark Protectors, by Rebecca Zanetti, check out Gambler’s Folly and Old Flame!
And when you finish the story, please leave a review for me!
We’re just past the first week after the release ofOld Flame, and so far, all the feedback has been positive. I’m still waiting for the print books to be published, but they’re working on it. When they’re available, I’ll let you know.
Old Flame is part of the Gambler’s Folly series. The series is a cross-genre paranormal/fantasy romance set on a luxurious off-world resort known as Gambler’s Folly. Each new installment follows a new couple blending romance, shifter mythology, suspense and adult themes. And Old Flame is no different.
Kort and Liz are a mature couple and bear shifters. In this friends to lovers–with a bit of second chance–romance you’ll become immersed in the world as well as the budding romance. They met at university and then went their separate ways after graduating. When they reconnect on the way to Gambler’s Folly, sparks are struck that become so much more.

This will be Book 4 from my Gambler’s Folly and will features bear shifters this time. It’s a fantasy romance, and a bit of a second chance/mature couple story.
They met when they were in university and, while they were good friends, had never actually dated. Since graduation, they haven’t even spoken. He’s in California, she’s in Appalachia. Now, thirty years later, she’s a widow and visiting her daughter in California. For her birthday, her kids bought her a round trip vacation package to Gambler’s Folly.
During her overnight stay at a hotel, before taking the flight to Houston for the shuttle, they meet again when he intervenes in an altercation in which she is involved. They discover they’re both scheduled to be on the shuttle to Gambler’s Folly, which alleviates part of stress over the trip.
But there is a surprise waiting for them when they arrive. Mother Nature has decided to intervene and bring them a little romance.
As in Old Flame, the next book in the Gambler’s Folly series.
She’s a widow, not looking for romance, and on vacation to visit her daughter and grandkids for her birthday. As a surprise, her son and daughter bought her a round trip vacation package to Gambler’s Folly. She has no idea what she’s going to do for a month on a foreign world, especially by herself, but can’t turn down the gift.
He’s a billionaire with no attachments and tired of gold diggers who are only interested in his money. He’s heading to Gambler’s Folly for business. He gave up the idea of romance years ago and isn’t looking for a relationship.
Thirty years ago, the two of them were friends at university and haven’t seen each other since graduating. Until the meet at the hotel where they are both staying before meeting the shuttle. They’d never dated at university, but something has changed during those intervening years.
And neither knew the other was a shifter.
With any luck at all, Old Flame will be out this summer. I’m nearly finished with the final edits. Cover is mostly finished. Blurbs are, well, not ready yet. I keep putting them off.
If you haven’t read the rest of the series, go on over to Amazon, Smashwords, or just about any retailer and catch up! Whether you love leopards or wolves, you’ll find something that suites your fancy.
