Archive for May, 2020

It seems too soon for the month to be ending, but it is. And with the end of May comes the end of the book sale over at Smashwords. So if you haven’t checked it out, tomorrow, May 31 is your last chance.

So what else has been happening in my world?

We had a solid week of drizzle and rain, with temperatures in the 60’s. So now, during the past two days, the rain has ended and the temperatures have soared into the 80’s. Great for the tomatoes, but I’m not so keen on the shift.

I finished the first draft of Whiskey Jug Genie and set it aside to rest for a little while and am back to shaping the ending for Lady Calloway. What that girl can get up to…

And I have a new website to share, where you can find all my books, with previews and links. It’s over at Author Uproar. Go take a look for me and let me know what you think.

But the deck garden seems to be coming along, so when I need a break from dominant males and feisty females, I go chill on the deck with the cat and my herbs. They’re a lot less stressful.

So drop by and say hi, and tell me about your summer reading. If you have anything you’d like to share, feel free to comment or catch me on Facebook.

In the meantime, have a great week, keep reading,

and Don’t Forget to Share the Romance

How is everyone doing today? We’ve had a few thundershowers, but nothing too bad. Of course, The Monster would disagree. She’s hiding from the thunder and growling.

Maybe it’s time to sit down with The Monster and Miss Kitty and assure them they’ll be all right. I’m sure I can find something to read…

Have you read the books in the Gambler’s Folly Series?

How about The Russian?

Dmitri Ivanovich Volkov–known as The Russian–is a wolf shifter who has been around for over 500 years. He’d had a soulmate once, but she died 200 years ago, taking a huge chunk of his heart with her.

Now he hunts alone. He doesn’t want a mate. The pain of loss is too great, and he’s already lost everyone he’d ever known, except for his coworkers in this generation.

But Mother Nature has other plans for this wolf shifter.

What are people saying about The Russian?

If you love paranormal reading as I do. Then you will love, “The Russian!” It is well written and keeps you reading from page one.”

So if you need a break from this world, go visit one of mine. Gambler’s Folly. The people are friendly, the food is tasty, and there’s always something going on.

Wishing you a wonderful week!

Sometimes I have an idea I like, but it isn’t enough for a novel. Just a brief thought sparked by a conversation, an interesting face, or some musings of my own.

So what to do with them?

Vocal.Media!

I have several article length stories on Vocal from my inner conversations. The first one is about the Digital Age and how dependent we’ve become on our electronics.

The second one discusses how different things are now from when I was growing up on a farm in Ohio. One of our grandsons asked me what had changed since I was his age, which set me to thinking.

The most recent article is called The Box. It came in the form of a dream, touching on the subject of that hidden place in our minds. That place we keep secret from the rest of the world.

What if it were are a real place? What would it look like if you could visit it. And how would you react to what is inside?

The Box, a story about sunlight and shadows, darkness and light.

For the others:

The Digital Age

What’s Different?

You may have to sign up with Vocal to read them, but there are thousands of interesting articles and stories on many topics there.

So go on over and take a peek–not only at my work, but browse around and see what else you can find.

Have a great week!

Book 2 in the Gambler’s Folly series, this book begins where Book 1 left off. Dam and Kari travel to Earth with their friends to have the big wedding his family wants.

Included in the wedding party are Marco, Paul, and Dante, Dam’s best friends and colleagues from Gambler’s Folly.

Panther shifter, Dante, was born on Gambler’s Folly and this is his first time leaving it. And he’s leaving to go to his boss’s and good friend’s wedding.

Why does his friend have all the luck? Money, power, and now a soulmate. Would Dante ever find someone to share his life? Why did he get so tongue-tied around the fairer sex?

And then he meets Angela and his mouth has a mind of its own.
Be careful what you wish for…

Yes, it’s that time of year again!

I do wish Mother Nature would get her act together, though. Last night we had low temperatures in the 30’s again and my cucumbers decided they’d had enough.

Maybe if we all got together and sent her a nice Mother’s Day gift…

Two of my books are FREE over at Smashwords this week, and all the rest are on sale for $1! So go over and treat yourself on your day! Just click and scroll down.

Wishing all our mother’s out there a very relaxing and wonderful day, filled with magic, laughter, and love…

How is everyone out there doing with the quarantine? I know a lot of people are getting cabin fever. But since we live out in the country and seldom go anywhere anyway, we’re not feeling so much of the stress.

Reading can help with the strain. You can grab a good book and take off into another world for a little while.

And to help you with that, each week during the rest of May, I will feature at least one of my books for FREE over at Smashwords! Each week will feature a different book, so go back each weekend to find out what’s on offer.

Go to my Smashwords Profile Page and scroll down to find my series and stand alones. No need for any coupons or codes. Just look for the ones which are FREE!

And for the rest of the books?

They are all on sale for $1! So if you want to get another book in a series, it won’t break the bank.

You can visit Gambler’s Folly or Esperance. Or take a trip up the cost to the Cote d’Or. They’re all on sale.

Check out the other books on sale as well. Several authors have books for free and at a discount during the quarantine.

Don’t let the isolation get you down. Take a trip into another world, one with magic, or shifters, romance and fantasy.

Wishing you a wonderful week!
